The Speciale Family
The Speciale family has been committed to the production and harvesting of citrus fruits since 1933: an ancient tradition, today renovated with the latest technologies and care for details, to offer an excellent product, tasty, healthy, aesthetically sought-after and 100% natural.
Speciale Oranges
Our Philosophy
Citrus fruits with exceptional organoleptic qualities, excellent in taste, aesthetically sought-after and processed combining tradition with innovation: this is the philosophy that moves the Arance Speciale Company, and that shaped it into a leader in the fruit and vegetable sector both in Italy and abroad. The Speciale Family cultivates citrus varieties, such as the Tarocco Orange, which have peculiar characteristics. For example, some studies claim that Tarocco Oranges have an effective antioxidant action, slow down aging and help the cardiovascular system *. The Arance Speciale Company has been operating in the production, processing and wholesale of Sicilian citrus fruits for over 85 years, directly controlling the crops and products, which are selected and packaged for sale and distribution. The products are characterized by production controls, which guarantee great quality and beauty of the product in every season.
*See for example Buscemi et al., 2012, “Effects of red orange juice intake on endothelial function and inflammatory markers in adult subjects with increased cardiovascular risk”, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Volume 95, Issue 5, May 2012, Pages 1089–1095; Rapisarda et al., 1999, ‘‘Antioxidant Effectiveness As Influenced by Phenolic Content of Fresh Orange Juices’’, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 47 (11), 4718-4723.
